Linked Integrations

Linked Integration involves associating people with Alarm Groups such that you know who
to contact when a Delivery is in a specific Alarm State. For example, if a Delivery fails, certain
people must be notified based on designations you establish when you define Integrations, Alarm Groups,
and Alarms.

Initially, you must establish contact names and contact communications methods on the Integrations
page at the Organizations level. Here, you identify persons who should be contacted
(via email or PagerDuty).

Next, you establish Alarm Groups – Alarm Group_Critical, for example – then configure Alarms
which you also designate as Critical (in this case). It is a best practice to create Alarm Groups
for each Alarm State. For example, all CRITICAL Alarms must reside in the Alarm Group_Critical.
In another scenario, all ERROR Alarms must reside in the Alarm Group_Error. As you establish Alarms,
you can associate them with previously defined Alarm Groups.

Once this setup is established, you will notice Integrations in the left navigation pane at the
Alarm Groups level. Selecting Integrations at this level allows you to link the Alarm Group
with an Integration. This association is the glue that connects each entity in this process.

Add a Linked Integration

Before you can use or access a Linked Integration, you must have established:

  • Integrations (at the Organizations level)

  • Alarm Groups

  • Alarms

To add a Linked Integration:

  1. From the Alarm Groups level, click Integrations from the left navigation pane.

The page that opens will be different (displaying varying page names/titles) contingent
upon your actions to this point. For example, if you have not established any Linked Integrations,
the Alarm Group Integrations page opens. When you begin to establish Linked Integrations
on this page, the Link/Unlink Integrations page opens. Once you actually establish this link,
exit the page, and return to this page by selecting Integrations from the left navigation pane,
the Linked Integrations page opens – as you have already established this link.

  2. With the Alarm Group Integrations page open and, therefore, no established links, slide the
Link/Unlink an Integration toggle switch (located at the top right of the page) to the right
    or ON position.

The Link/Unlink Integrations page opens. This page displays any Integrations that you have
    established.

  3. Identify the Integration (previously established at the Organizations level).

  4. Select the Linked checkbox associated with this Integration.

A confirmation message appears at the top right of the page. This action links the Integration
with the Alarm Group and, by extension, the Alarms associated with this Alarm Group now have
a similar relation. You can clear Linked checkboxes to unlink Integrations and Alarm Groups –
    thereby, uncoupling this relation.

If you exit this page by selecting Alarm from the left navigation pane, for example, then
immediately reselecting Integrations from the left navigation pane, you will notice that the
Linked Integrations page opens. (Prior to establishing any Linked Integrations, this page
name appeared as Alarm Group Integrations. Since you now have established at least one link,
the Linked Integrations page opens.) You can slide the Link/Unlink an Integration toggle switch
(located at the top right of the page) to the right or ON position, to establish more Linked
    Integrations or unlink existing ones.
